Creativity and Your Lifestyle choices really are important right now. 👌
So, I was involved in an awesome Ideation Workshop with some European Partners who were exploring a Japanese concept called Ikigai.
Ikigai (ee-key-guy) is a Japanese concept that combines the terms iki, meaning “alive” or “life,” and gai, meaning “benefit” or “worth.”
When combined, this gives your life worth, meaning, or purpose.
Ikigai is similar to the French term “raison d’etre” or “reason for being.”
We look at and question 4 main areas.
What do you love?
What are you good at?
What the world ( market ) needs?
What you can get paid for?
Once we explore these areas and find the overlaps we get very close to finding our Ikigai.
And for many business owners, the goal isn't just to build a bigger company, but to create a business that supports their personal values and lifestyle.
Marketing, in this context, becomes a powerful tool.
It's about creating a brand identity, a culture and exceptional customer service that resonates with your target audience and your own vision of success.
Effective marketing today is as much about building communities as it is about selling products or services. Right? 🤔
And by focusing on nurturing a loyal community around your brand, you create a sustainable business model that thrives on genuine connections and shared values.
This strategy not only supports a lifestyle-driven approach to business but also fosters long-term loyalty and advocacy among your customers. 🤝
Marketing is not a one-size-fits-all tool; it's a powerful tool that can be tuned to match the unique rhythm of your business and life goals whatever indeed they may be. 🎼
So, maybe we need to take a broader view of marketing—one that goes beyond scaling and growth metrics, to one that includes making strategic choices that better our lives and others, and bring us closer to our personal definitions of success.
After all, isn't the ultimate goal to build a business that doesn't just grow, but makes us happy on our own terms? 🌼
Time to think of marketing, not just as a vehicle for business growth, but as a means to design the lifestyle and impact you dream of?
Where success is measured by more than just numbers—it's defined by happiness, balance, and fulfillment. 🥂
Bring some Ikigai maybe into your business.
"It's a very interesting approach and one which I'm integrating into what we do for our clients.
So today's takeaway, is if you want some fun, work with me on your Ikigai for you, and your business - I have a great way to get you thinking - it's free and will get you to sit up and think where you need to be."
Worth a chat?
👉 Hit reply and type in "IKIGAI" and I promise you, it will be well worth it - and help me crafting this new approach in terms of marketing.
